  2. + Italy (FULL)

    Early Childhood Education
    March 14 – 23, 2025

    Visiting the origins of prominent curriculum approaches such as Reggio Emilia and Montessori are part of the Early Childhood Education Study Abroad Program. During the Spring 2025 Semester, the program will visit major cities in Italy including Venice, Florence, Rome, and Bologna. A journey in a gondola, gazing on the Statue of David, standing beside the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and climbing the steps inside the Colosseum are just part of the experience. To trace the roots of Maria Montessori’s development of the Montessori method of education, the program will also visit Perugia which is home to the Montessori Training Center. The visit to Reggio Emilia, a city in central Italy near Bologna, will include the Loris Malaguzzi Center which is a living manifesto of the Reggio Emilia approach to education and learning.

    Explore the vibrant culture and rich history of Morocco through the Study Abroad Association’s cultural immersion program. Scheduled in May, right after the 2025 Spring Semester, this nine-day journey will take you through the heart of Morocco, including stops in Casablanca, Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga, Marrakech, and more! Experience the grandeur of Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, the historical treasures of Rabat, and the enchanting blue streets of Chefchaouen. Walk through the ancient medina of Fes, marvel at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, and enjoy a camel trek into the Sahara Desert where you’ll glamp in luxury tents under the Arabian-night stars. The program culminates in the bustling city of Marrakech, where you will explore Jemaa El Fna square and visit local artisans. Beyond these cultural experiences, you’ll engage deeply with Moroccan society by visiting local businesses, exploring museums, and attending insightful university lectures. This immersive experience is designed to deepen your appreciation of global cultures and enhance your academic pursuits through real-world interactions.

  4. + London and Amsterdam (FULL)

    London and Amsterdam

    Art and Humanities
    May 12 – 23, 2025

    Students will tour London and visit the British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Tower of London, Tate Modern Museum, Camden Market, and the National Gallery. While touring London, students will see Westminster Abbey, Parliament, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, Trafalgar Square, and Piccadilly Circus. Students will travel to Amsterdam and visit locations such as Anne Frank’s House, Rijksmuseum, Museumplein,
    Stedelijk Museum, Van Gogh Museum, and the STRAAT Museum. Students will also take a canal cruise to experience the historical city center of Amsterdam.

    Land of Many Cultures
    June 7, 2025 – June 17, 2025

    The Land of Many Cultures Program provides an in-depth appreciation for Spain’s multicultural past and present with visits to its most iconic cities: Catalonia Barcelona, Andalusian Seville, Castilian Madrid, Valencia, and Alicante Granada. Each metropolis boasts its own distinct regional flair, cultural traditions, cuisine, and language. All regions have played a critical role in forming Spanish identity. Learn more as you connect with locals in sun-drenched plazas, seaside markets and corner tapas bars. With your expert local guides, you will see La Sagrada Familia, Montjic, Gothic Quarter, Barcelona Cathedral, Park Guell, Las Ramblas, Albaicin, Alhambra, Maria Luisa Park, Plaza de Espana, Barrio de Santa Cruz, Seville Cathedral, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Oriente, Prado, the Royal Palace, and Puerta del Sol. You will enjoy activities like a cooking class in Valencia, Flamenco Dance in Granada, and a visit to an olive oil farm in Seville.
